Lebanese actualities of June 2007

Reflexions on the political and economic Lebanese news

I- On June 27, 2007: link to the text of the Proposal for a Solution of the Lebanese Political Crisis of the summer 2007, by two years Limited Period with a Provisional President, a Provisional Vice-president and a precise Program of Government.

II- The current Syrian Lebanese war started in 1969. On June 30, 2007.

A- The facts:

Since May 20, 2007, an urban war started in NAHR ELBARED, Palestinian refugee camp in the North of Lebanon. Terrorist groups, bewitched to make the war against the Western countries and democrat Lebanese, were installed, armed and formed by the Syrian regime. Young people originating from several Arab countries had undergone brain washings to be ready to kill for antiquated ideas of another century.

Violence started with the steal of a bank. These groups called FATEH ALISLAM killed twenty Lebanese soldiers in their full sleep.

The Lebanese army, which were until there in position of neutrality between the politicians of the governmental majority and those pro Syrians, was brought to react by the decision to remove these terrorist groups which are revealed in full political dissension in Lebanon.

The indices and the testimonies, reported by the medias, go in the direction of the use of these terrorist groups by the Syrian-Iranian axis with their Lebanese allies.

The Lebanese army suffered serious damage whereas the Lebanese Medias make believe daily that the army controls the situation. A hundred soldiers were cut down. The Palestinian camp is about to be shaved by the shells of the tanks. The terrorists appear to be well formed for the urban war. They are decided to resist until the end without any concern for the civil ones and the destruction.

At the same time, acts of terrorism took place in the various areas of Lebanon, in particular, the assassination of a deputy of the governmental majority, Mr. Walid EIDO, and the assassination of six soldiers of the United Nations in the south of Lebanon.

The Syrian regime and its Lebanese and Palestinian allies make believe that they are not concerned with these terrorist groups. But the elements of the investigations in progress show that these groups act at the request of the needs for this regime and its allies.

The Arab League made a new step near the Lebanese democratic chiefs and the pro Syrian Lebanese chiefs without any hope of agreement. It was foreseeable since the pro Syrian Lebanese chiefs are subjected to the will of the Syrian regime. The Western democratic governments do not cease repeating that the power in Syria must stop its interferences in the businesses of Lebanon.

B- Position of the LSTDO:

The Organization has a whole of projects to manage to direct the events of Lebanon towards a democratic and independent neutral country.

We are convinced that the doctrines of the party BAATH, which has the power in Syria, are the starting point of the cancer which is spread in Lebanon since 1969.

We attend today the same tactic of subversions that Syria had organized in Lebanon since 1969 to weaken the Lebanese State, to arm the pro Syrians, to create a civil war then to enter and to occupy Lebanon.

We invite the Lebanese to remain very vigilant vis-a-vis the pro Syrian propaganda. The dialogues out of the democratic institutions of Lebanon are harmful for the people of Lebanon. And one should not hope for a true democracy in Lebanon as long as there are armed parties and armed militia on the ground of the country apart from the State authority.

The democratic rules in spite of their defects could have pacified Lebanon for a long time if there were no armed clans which use violence to impose themselves on the manner of the mafias.
